About The Author

Audrey McGrath

Hi, I'm Audrey McGrath and I am a wife, mom of four, and now, children's book author!

I live in Iowa, where most of my weekends are spent at the ball field cheering on my three sons. Watching my only daughter make the most of her time on the sidelines sparked the inspiration for my first book. Like so many kids, she's learned how to make the most of life on the sidelines- and I knew her story (and theirs!) deserved to be told.

I wrote this book for all the sideline siblings out there, and the families who make it all work with love, folding chairs, and a whole lot of snacks.

About The Book

Little miss ballpark

With themes of independence, creativity, and the joy of simply being present, Little Miss Ballpark is a tribute to all the little siblings who show up, support, and find their own spotlight-even from the sidelines.

But underneath the playful pages lies a gentle reminder: sometimes the quietest moments matter most. Little Miss Ballpark invites parents and caregivers to notice the "sideline sibling" - the one who's always there, even if they're not in uniform. It's a celebration of presence, a nudge toward connection, and a chance to say "I see you, too."

Perfect for all parents and children ages 4-8, this character encourages young readers to embrace their imagination, celebrate their role in the family team, and discover that being there is more meaningful than we sometimes realize.

She usually never knows if her brothers win or lose their games. That doesn't matter. She always gives them a smile and a hug and asks, "Did you have fun?"
